The spiritual home of Cahill Photography.

The Wild Atlantic Way is Ireland’s longest defined coastal touring route. From Donegal to Cork you can follow the road along the rugged beauty of the West. It is a destination close to my heart as my Grandfather originated from the West of Ireland, and more recently I have been fortunate to live in many of Ireland’s great cities including Dublin & Galway.

Ireland is still very much a home from home and most of our summer holidays are spent on the Kerry peninsulas. This year we decided to go out of season, during the month of February. We were completely over-awed with the intense drama that the winter months can bring. Not to mention the colours.

On one occasion we are arrived at the beach, Banna Strand, parked the car and through no lack of trying we were unable to open the car doors such was the veracity of the wind that day. Truly Wild!

When we did make it out of the car, these are some of the views, and weather, we were able to capture.
